Why does God care what I do with my money?

“Does God really care what I do with my money?”

As funny as it might sound, there are many people who wonder the same thing.  Many people feel that money, in the grand scheme of things, is really nothing of any value.  This is statment is only “half” true.  Money itself is nothing more than a green piece of paper, therefore, doesn’t matter much in “the grand scheme of things.”  However, the attitudes we have towards our money, the character we display handling it, the selfishness or generosity with with we approach the issue, our actual contentment, our….. are all things that matter very much in the “grand scheme of things.”  So yes, God does care.  Not because money is important, but because of the deeper issues of the heart that money reveals.
